So I'll be heading down to Orlando from Dec. 27- Jan. 4 and I've got a few questions:
1. I'll be going to OWC as much as possible. I've got a 3/2 fullsuit...will I need that or am I alright with a spring suit?
2. I want to Cocoa beach to do some winching. How long is the drive from DT Orlando to Cocoa? Do you think I'll get away with winching the beach for an afternoon at that time of year? Will there be anyone to rent a surfboard from at that time of year there? I'm assuming the ocean water will be pretty cold for you floridians
3. Where is Metro west, or other good winch spots in or around Orlando?
4. What else is worth doing in Orlando, wake related or otherwise?
I'm hoping to get out a few times to OWC and as much winching as I can get in. I ride a Sattelyte Heartbreaker and I'll post a pic of myself and let you guys know the exact dates I'll be at the cables so we can meet. If anyone has a good idea for a spot and wants to do some winching let me know.
Thanks alot,
Jordan
P.S. I'll bring plenty of Ketchup Chips to O-dub for anyone that likes em lol |

1. No way to know, it could be super cold or in the 70's, it's Florida
2. It's about an hour drive from Orlando to Cocoa Beach, plenty of places to rent boards, I normally shop at red dog surf shop when I'm in that area. You can also go to New Smyrna Beach (they let you drive on the beach there) and it's the same distance but north, less tourists, and has plenty of places to rent boards (inlet charlies) and when everywhere else is small it's a good place to surf. The inlet almost always has something fun to ride.
3. Metro West is near a Chipotle
4. Tons of things to do in Orlando... Are you over 18? 21? _________________ -Paul |

lol Thanks for all the replies fellas.
uidzero, I'll look up that beach on google maps or something. I've never surfed and wanted to try it for years now so I'm stoked to finally get the chance. And winching in the surf also has been up there on my To DO list since I started riding.
I'm over 20 and have an ID that says I'm over 21 but I'll be with my girlfriend and I'm not sure if she has a ID that says shes 21. What are you thinking?
CGA PFD, twgapk, They're good. I'll just bring some and if your at O-dub and need some munchies lemme know. |

JB_CANSKATE, MetroWest. Exit 75B I think, off of I-4. It's Kirkman road, just take it North about a mile and a half and turn left on Arnold Palmer Dr. Go over the bridge and park at the Wendy's, you'll see it. _________________ √ |

Let's get our shred on JB! I'll head up to O-town at least two days no doubt! |

Ponderosa!! There's like three of them on I-Drive.
If you're heading east to the beaches from Orlando make sure you hit the ATM before you leave _________________ ------------------------------------------------------
