| Thomas rides to The Postal Service - 'Such great heights'. And Hampson rides to The Faint - 'Take me to the hospital'. Dont know about the rest cause I've only seen the video a few times. |

Dave,
Excellent job on the review! I enjoyed reading it and felt like I was reading my own emotions about the video!
one thing though.... you say... "The only complaints I had about Sfumato was that my copy is on VHS"
you MUST get the DVD. |

Hypo,
You are exactly right. I am going to get the DVD as well. Thomas sent the VHS because they were going to be ready first, but apparently you got your DVD just as quick as I got the VHS. I'm going to order the DVD myself. Have you tried the alternate soundtrack you mentioned in your other post? The original sound track is awesome, but I'm curious about the alternate.
Thanks for the complements guys. I was so stoked after watching the video late last night that I woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning to write the review so that you guys could read about it. This video is the shizzlenack! |

| what about the ship date for DVD copies that were pre-ordered from the sfumato website? They should have shipped before the ones that went out from wakeside right? I really hope it comes soon. I pre-ordered back in July, and haven't heard ANYTHING from thomas and co. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, I just don't know how much longer I can handle this. |

Thomas had said that these should go out first.
-dave
well, i started to and it wasnt my thing...but i havent listened to all of it...but i'm going to now that you mention it....i think im on my 6th or 7th time watching it....the first track, i felt i was in the hood. the second track i felt like i was watching 'vision quest' from the 80's. the third track for danny hampson is another hood song.(as you can tell im not to partial to that stuff). jim, drew more hood music....thomas, back to 'vision quest' music..something about getting the taste of glory...the only song i like and recognize was arron reed's song. Real Life -Send me an angel..but it doesnt belong on this DVD.
You're looking for love calling heaven above.
Send me an angel
send me an angel
right now
right now.
wait a second ...hahaha....what the f*ck were they thinking. Bananarama -Cruel Summer.
are they kidding?
none of the Alternate Track music matches and I dont know anybuddy that would actually use this feature after they here it.
They also have the Texas GAP that you watched earlier with a little commentary when Aaron and Thomas was jumpin it and it shows them bustin their rear trying land it. Pretty nice extra feature.
the other extras are DP commentary(showing different shots with producer commentary), team pain, invisible cinema, chapters, and a trailer.
jealous, ahhh don't be...you'll get yours soon!

yea i pre-ordered mine from the sftumato site over the summer and i got it in the mail yesterday. so if you haven;t gotten yet and you pre-ordered it, be looking for it monday or tuesday. it is such a great video. danny hampson has such a long section. i wish everyones was as long as his, thats my only complaint.
as far as the alternate soundtrack. i think it was just some joke where they all chose songs for each other or something. cause the songs go along w/ each of them. like reed's is a song from the karate kid talking about being the best and not letting anyone bring him down. and thomas's is about.....somthing like lightning and thunder or somewhere along those lines. i only listened to it once but perhaps you get the point. jim leatherman has some christina aguilara song to his part. _________________ I <3 wakeskating |
