does it really make that much of a difference?
Confused
all you have to do is rinse it off

i've never had a problem with a board because of salt water and thats all i ride.

i know it makes a difference riding wise but not how long it lasts Neutral

its a personal decision. ive ridden both wood and composite on both fresh and salt water. all boards ride different and will ride higher in salt water. salt water is more dense u know. this will effect the speed u ride at too.

i used to ride mainly salt water when i lived at home and now ride fresh in talley. there is a definite difference. i like the feel of popping better in salt and i like the feel of edging better in fresh.

Salt water is more dense, so it floats better, but it also has less surface tension than fresh, so your skate will sit LOWER in the saltwater as you ride. It will pop better and landings are easier on salt water.

i would go for wood even if it doesn't hold up that much but it's all about personal preference. I got b'new a. reed 07 for 140 bucks. no dings scratches. not bad at all Very Happy happy riding it. Wink
