I know people have talked about how nice this would be for wakeskating, it looks like one company finally listened.
Cruise Assist & No Wake Mode™
Made possible by the industry’s only electronic throttle, Yamaha’s exclusive Cruise Assist is the first system that allows the driver to set and hold a particular engine speed while maintaining a comfortable throttle position. Once set, the driver can increase or decrease the engine speed in increments of 250 RPMs with the simple push of a button - a real benefit when towing a wakeboarder or extending a long day of cruising. When the throttle is disengaged, the system shuts off. Yamaha’s No Wake Mode regulates RPMs for the optimal speed (approximately 5 mph) to efficiently navigate through no wake zones. Yamaha's exclusive Cruise Assist and No-Wake Mode can be found on the FX SHO and FX Cruiser SHO WaveRunners. |

| I just thought of something though, i hope it doesnt shut off the speed you have dialed in each time you pick up the person. That would be a pain. |

Unnecessary imo.
It's not hard to maintain a speed on a jet ski. I put my thumb between the throttle where the little wire cable is. Works fine for me. |

It would be awesome if they made it backwards compatible. Mine is a 98 xl1200 and it's ridiculous hard to keep a speed on.. _________________ - Evan Molina |

| ya i would never go buy a new ski just for the feauture. I dont have a problem keeping speed to much but sometimes when you take out new people it kinda sucks when they keep changing the speed on you. |

| this is dangerous cause if someone has the cruze set and isn't wearing the safety cord and falls off that is a un-maned jet ski that has to hit something. |

bmr712, "and isn't wearing the safety cord..."
My friends, that is why we do, in fact, wear the safety cord. _________________ - Evan Molina |

| you have to have ur hand on the throttle. The way it works if im understanding correctly you set the cruise at the desired speed then you hold the throttle all the way down in a comfortable position. If it anytime the throttle is released, the cruise speed disengages. |
