what got you into wakeskating?

I skipped the whole wakeboarding, my friend is into wake boarding, and I just saw a video online of wakeskating about 5 months ago and i was hooked, went bought my first board, and just started ridin to get the feel for it...

i was in a store looking around for wakeboard stuff and found a wierd looking type of board it was really chep foam faction so i tried it for so long i didnt know people could do all this stuff on it so all i did was just ollie. now i love wakeskating

i dated a girl that had an ex boyfriend who still carryed the torch for her. he found out about me and added me on msn messenger to abuse me but after about 10 mins going at me he realised i wasnt a loser like he thought i was and he invited me out in his dingy to make up for being an a$$ he taught me how to get up. we started a wakeskate crew and never looked back haha

hurt my ankle really bad while skateboarding in 2003, could continue skateboarding, luckily had a friend that wakeboarded and had a wakeskate too, stood on the skate for the first time in 2004 and found it could be an replacement drug for skateboarding. been wakeskating ever since (haven't been able to skateboard ever since though Crying or Very sad

wakeboarded growing up.. got a little bored with it, rode my wake board bindingsless for fun a few time and then found out there were some companies out there that specifically made them. didnt feel like riding my wakeboard much after i got one.

Did a bit of wakeboarding at my cottage...I really didn't dig being strapped in so i did'nt really commit..Then i did some wakeskating at my friends cottage and watched Such is Life and the Truth...I've been hooked ever since

did a lil wakeboarding at TSR in college...got hurt...rehab... then used my friends HP Scape.that day went and purchased sfumato and the rest was history..havent strapped since...

i skateboarded for so long in my youth, then started wakeboarding, for some reason i never really liked it, never felt comfortable, then i started riding on my skimboard behind the boat, and doing shuvs and stuff. Then i heard about wakeskating and started doing that... havnt touched a wakeboard in close to 3 years now.

Sadly I was a straper, who had a wakeskate lying around cuz I got it for free. I had just started sponsoring this kid at the shop. He was all pumped and wanted me to come ride with him. So I brought my skate which I had used maybe 5 times. I drug him around and was pumped on his riding, so I come out and stick some lip tricks and shuvs. But the day I feel in love is during a game of skate. He did a fs lip 270 out. When I went out there and landed it...I was in love. And now at work instead of dreaming about straping...it's nothing but strapless water dancing in my mind! Break free from the shackles boys...break free!

I was in Iraq in 04'. I kept in contact with UIDZERO and TAKU while i was over there. They sent me a vid of them wakeskating in this pond behind their house with a car as the pull during the hurricanes. I saw it and was stoked. Got back in 05' and skated a few times that year. 06' I didnt hang out with them much so i didnt skate much because of other issues. Got back into it this year and will never put it down again.

i had alwayse known i was gunna be good at something. i loved water sports surfing, wakeboarding n stuff and i alwayse skateboarded so it had the best of both. and i had the 02 grubby. one day just hopped on it and fiznackling loved it

Pretty much wakeboarding kind of lost it's appeal over the years, then it was like wakeskating BAM, new and exciting, never looked back. Once you POP you just can't stop.
