| Decided that buying a jet ski is out of my reach and I don't have the upkeep to maintain one anyway. I wanna start looking for places that sell winches. Any site links would be awesome. Are there any places in orlando that I can buy from at a store and is it easy to maintain a winch? |

WAKEMan1, I'm pretty sure iWinch doesn't sell their stuff.. they just named their winch that.. I could be wrong.
And i wouldn't think he'd want to spend $10k on one considering he can't afford a ski.. And isn't the 12 gauge winch pretty expensive too? _________________ - Evan Molina |

Pulldozer or Released are the way to go for store bought winches. IMO
Its much cheaper and more rewarding to make your own tho.. |

If you are on a budget I would suggest building your own or going through Released because they sell part by part or complete set ups and offer a number of different frame/motor options. PM ReleasedWinching for more questions/pricing or myself since Chris isn't on the forums as much as I am.
Slapdown, I think you are right...I couldn't find the thread but I think the Revolver was something crazy like 5 grand. |

yea..
pretty ridiculous!
but what about just building one..
its much cheaper!
just need to have time, and a parts source!
i was actually thinking about making one..
i just need a frame...
ive got a old 10hp go cart motor somewhere around here.... _________________ tww 4 life

wakeaddicted247, My frame from Released is $350 I believe.. Super light and it looks great. The biggest thing with building your own winch is finding a good welder. Knowing someone who will do it for free saves you big time.
I just posted this in that other thread but here is a shot for WATER

TAD, yea..
where is released?
b/c i cant do eShoping..
dad thinks hes always going to get riped off!
:\
but around Christmas time i think im going to buy a frame....
maybe t-Rex will let me base mine off of his winch..
but yea..
it would seem convenient since there is a long golf pond across the street that is atleast 120 yards long..
perfect to make a rail on..
and very accessible by vehicle!
il put up some pix and u tell me what u think? _________________ tww 4 life

Theres even a good dock start by the shed
and right behind where i was taking pictures, there is the road, and a little platform perfect accessibility for the winch!
and the other side where it gets smaller.. there is a highway, and a side road where i could also put the winch!
sounds like a plan to me!
maybe later il throw a rail in there!
just hope the golf course ppl arent haterzz!
so..
good idea,
not so much? _________________ tww 4 life
