On a more serious note….I have been thinking a lot about Kanye West lately. I think that he has talent, and I like him, but he’s a bit of a whinning beach and high on himself.

Music nowadays is so recycled. Where’s the originality? Listening to the 3 links below in sequential order, it will help illustrate my point.

the new sat. decks have blown my mind away.....it looks like they put a lot of sweat into their work this year. Everyone needs to give them a try because believe me it will impress you that it is a wood board that is near as durable as an integ. I would also like to thank garry for everything today, such a great guy to deal with.

odd, I think kanye is bad to the bone. I dig his fashion sense and I think he looks stinking amazing...at that princess diana concert this past june,he had some blinder type shades that were 80s styled (and yes, I had some of those as a young lass) and he was wearing some vintage jordans...the ones from 92 or so (black and orange, beyotch).

did I say bad to the bone yet? He may whine...but, let's see...right, he's bad to the bone.

anyway, I have "stronger" on my latest mix cd (titled "awesomeo") and the daft punk sampling was yet another example of his impeccable taste.

Kanye is one of the few hip hop artist I enjoy, mostly because he isn't all gangsta or whatever. His songs are usually more upbeat and his voice isn't all low and raspy.

electricsnow, I think he wears those shades in the stronger video, too. They're tiiiight! Unless you are talking about some other kind of shades...

They don't really protect your eyes from the various rays of the sun, but damn...they do make you look bad to the bone.

And I agree with your assessment in the quality of kanye's music. I'm not like mad gangsta or anything...I think kanye has the right amount of "roughness around the edges" so I can relate with my level of toughness that is very much on the same level. It's crazy...didn't kanye have his jaw wired shut once? I, on the other hand, had to wear my headgear for 2.5 years while I slept when I was like 10. So on that note, I feel like we have a few things in common...our experiences have shaped us and made us stronger...

I will call Garry to see how long they will stay there. I am sure if the weather's nice, that they will stay longer.

two things i dont like about kanye
1) His political statements are stupid and ignorant and do not help anyone just creates more tension between black and whites.
2) He constantly talks about how he didnt need college and almost makes himself seem cool cause hes a college drop out. however, most ppl need to understand only a small fraction of ppl. will ever make it that far in music. Instead he gives false hopes and misdirects what kids should really be concentrated on SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!

They said that they will be there definately from 4:00 to 6:00. So, just get there around that time, and no need to skip class.
