So why are there no expo pics yet? Haha i'm dying to see some of these decks. Did Devotid have a booth? I've heard some sick things about them from Oury. _________________ - Evan Molina |

They didn't have a booth, but they were there with their Bi-Level...which looks nice. They also have an ad in the La Sewer Mag.
I will try to post some photos later tonight.
Highlights:
Volcom and Vestel Booths
"Homeless crew" video teaser and mini-riot at end of Wake Awards. Basically, there were chairs thrown on stage and many cheers, it was good.
Wakeskate Best trick montage at Wake Awards - SO SICK
"Oak Utters"
Worst things:
getting paranoid about Amebas
Velcro wakeskate company ("Shawk") booth and video (So ghey!) I should have kept the promo DVD and posted it on Utube. We watched it 3 times.....So funny. _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

you guys are all haters, at least he's trying to do something new. To be honest i probably wouldnt buy a shawk board cause id rather just ride a real wakeboard or a real wakeskate, but thats how new things are created through trial and error. |

exactly...through trial and ERROR!!
The DVD that they produced is priceless. I wish that I didn't leave it in my hotel room.
In a year or so, I expect to see Shawk boards in Wall-Mart and Target because there will ge a market for it. Those decks are for dudes like Shaw, i.e., old dudes who can't ollie a skateboard or a wakeskate.
The video had footage of someone at a rail contest on one of those boards.....ghey!
We had a long and involved discussion about this. I understand that a Shawk-board is better for your knees and such, but go try hitting a double-up and attempt anything other than a 3 and see how safe it is. _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

i would def not feel comfortable doin any kind of jumps with something where my feet are velcroed to the board. At least with a wakeskate i can kick the board away if things go south. |

NO.
hahaha, It's been on my mind, and I think to take some stress off I'm just going to do a company by company overview from the expo. I'll just do them in the order I saw them, so ronix will be number one and should be easy because they only have one board.
I'd put my kidney on the line and say I'll have it up within the next two days...and I think I will hold myself to that.
