Bros-

I have only broken two skates since the conception of my amateur wakeskating career four years ago.

I have a theory that all boards eventually break, but I would love to read everyone's broken deck stories.

I'll start:

At the beginning of Summer 2003, I purchased my first skate - the Kampus Swing. The deck delaminated within the first three rides. Kampus was cool about the whole thing and sent me a replacement deck. While I waited for the replacement, I purchased the '03 Byerly. When the replacement Swing came in, I was digging the Byerly so I gave the Swing to my bro. He doesnt ride, but still has it in mint condition in his house as art.

Last week I finally cancelled my '03 Byerly, and now have it hanging in a board rack in my garage as art.

Anyone caring to share their art would be appreciated.

Had a k39 it lasted a summer and broke.
Built about 5 wakeskates only one of them broke and i think i still have 2 and the others i have no idea who has them.
I bought an integrity it has lasted the longest, but is slowly dieing.
I rode for liquidforce for half a month and broke 3 decks and had enough
I got hooked up with a byerly and I've been switching back and forth between it and my integrity.
In the end i still don't have a board i love. Just bits and pieces of everyone put together would be excellent.
But i will never get rid of my TNT its taken me so far and been through so much.

...horoscopes often lie and sometimes "y" nothin' is for sure nothin' is for certain nothin' lasts forever but until they close the curtain it's him and I Aquemini.

Topic title put Outkast in my head. I've only broke one board. I was hitting rails with an old Cassette flat deck and during a shuv-off attempt, both my feet landed in the middle of the board and broke it in half.

price.dan

when it breaks, post your story

methodmikey that cracking sound is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard

Sutley Im down with you being down with 'Kast. And breaking your deck in half was pretty manly

ScottyB no offense, but post to this thread when you actually break something

shouldnt you be in school right now?
Your deck shizznackling hurt me as much as it did you.
But I think any board with a million riding hours on it has lived much longer than its life expectancy.

And now youve got a sick piece of art.

I have a 2 piece integ, a team from 2005. Then i have an other 2005 integ but then a lemons. It's missing a big chunk from the bottem. And today the top off my omen cracked open. And that combined with the scratches at the bottem makes for a fine skate.
