Welcome to the site and the sport. I posted this on a thread a while back.
The easiest way to do it, although will seem harder at first, is to float vertically in the water and stand on the board. Slowly lift your knees up closer to your chest making sure that the board moves up with you under your feet. Some boards are more bouyant than others and will rise faster. I've found that some wood boards are slower to rise up when you are lifting your knees. Your toes should be pointed at the boat, the same as with a wakeboard. Once the line gets tight and starts to drag you, tilt your toes and feet upward and the board will come out in front of you just like wakeboarding (the pressure from the boat moving keeps the board there). Then just get pulled up the same as wakeboarding.
Some find it easier to start by holding the handle with one hand, lay on your back with your knees tucked up to your chest, and hold the board to your feet with the other hand until the boat starts moving. This may be easier to start off, but the first way is much better and less stressful. Hope this helps.
I'm only a beginner as well, so if there are any corrections, please feel free to make them. _________________ "It's like there's not enough pants where there need to be more pants." |

I just put it to my feet like a wakeboard and let my buddy put some tension on the rope by driving slowly so the board sticks to my feet. Then when im ready i holla at him and i pop up just like i would on a wakeboard. Nothing to it. If you do it this way make sure the driver doesn't go fast when your putting tension on the rope cuz then you pretty much drown. |

One thing beginners tend to do is trying to pull themselves up. Just relax and let the boat/pwc pull you up. _________________

i do a deepwater start
just stand on it in the water
you'll def want to learn this
so you might as well just start out that way |

dude straight up laying in the water and getting some tension on the rope get your feet the way you like them and the boat will pull you right up ... but if you just starting outt make sure your fins are on cause u will go all squirlly and stuff just lean back hard and it should pop you up |

skateanthem, not too hard or the board will end up slipping out from under you |
