both sucka, because both videos have a different cast and are sure to have editing unique styles. Having seen narla, one thing I really dig is the variety of the footage, like it's not all digital. Plus, they had the opportunity to film in some unique locations...and they took advantage of the water ledges in FL. Bottom line, there's variety in the footage. also, soundtrack==AMAZING!!!

I pretty much have blind faith in RLAND at this point, but I believe that both videos are something you'll want for your collection if you dig wakeskating and want something sick to watch. Plus RLAND is a limited edition thing.

hot damn, I don't have dyslexia, but sometimes it sure does look like it. I meant to say (in my first sentence) that they're both sure to have unique editing styles. DAMMIT.

Damn.

Seriously.

I might as well go on and continue to spell because "becasue"...because that's how I normally type it.

While we're at it, RLAND has a pretty unique backstory as well. My prediction is that both films will be too hot to handle and too cold to hold. Take that for what it's worth...but you've been warned.

HAWT!!!

I would say that volume 5 is longer because they have a lot more material to use (being that it's not just a team of riders, and they also have wakeskate related filler material like that standerd thing and brandon thomas' jobby).

Narla is something like 27 minutes long, with the credits. That sounds short, and by today's standards, it probably is because there's a shizzle load of videos that are like 40+ minutes. But what you get is the cream of the crop. There aren't a lot of reapeat filler tricks or anything. It's hard because I wish it was a little bit longer because I freaking love watching all of those guys, and it's been so long since they've all been in a team video like that...and then thomas just does a really nice job with his films...but I'd say that there's consistency at play because Common complaints for linear and Sfumato were that they were shorter (sfumato is only like 2 minutes longer and they have an extra rider in that film).

Volume 5 has some strengths...music is one and Matt manzari's pro spotlight is another. Freaking a...And volume also looks like they've stepped it up with their equpment as well, as a lot of the footage is super clear...all in all, it just looks a whole lot more professional than the older films. And they scrapped all of the motion graphics, which were super good in issue two, but became super old by issue 4. But like someone said, they do have a tendancy to show some of the same people, especially when you compare the day in the life and the rider spotlight "people."

NARLA has sections by danny, Reed Hansen, the river rats (jim, myles and danny molina) and then thomas and reed. They also have a sick ass super insane soundtrack (sorry pirate, no punk music here) and there's a variety of footage used, like super 8, i want to say there's some 16 mm woven in there and then some digital, of course. And besides the presence of the mizell boxes (and some other ledge that danny owns and reed jibs) which is always welcome, they had the chance to get the hell out of florida and film at some sweeter locations, like New Zealand and it looks like some lakes out west as well, and then thomas in miami. One thing to note is that there is some footage from all three red bull projects. If you haven't seen the hottest of the hawt from Adrift, you'll be pumped. If you've seen it, you'll be familiar and then thankful that all of the best footage from that trip is now in one video. Or that's how I see it. With a. reed's bangers from adrift and then the other stuff he put together...some of that shizzle is unmatched, for sure. But yeah, then there's some stuff from human trailers and reed and I think thomas have a couple of shots from "step up." (after you put your parisol (sp) and sun bonnet down. you know, becuase that thing was large and in charge, and also in shallow water.)

so I don't even know if i've answered your question. hopefully you can weigh out the info and make your own decision. I would say that I've watched NARLA more than issue 5, and when I watch Narla, I watch the entire thing, as opposed to a few random sections (depending on my mood) from issue 5.

electricsnow, theyve been filming for 3 years for narla and only 27 minutes of riding,,, Thats BULL $HIT i cant believe they would basically charge us a dollar a minute for this video, disapointed, i bet the riding is good though.
