that was the first song ive ever put in the first wakeskate video i made.

Haha indie sucks, so instead we should all listen to some overproduced pop punk. I also enjoy throwing my fist in the air to something raw and powerful. Bad religion, nofx, rise against, strung out, guttermouth have never made me feel that way. Some of their music is fun to listen too but if your going to make fun of indie youre going to have to bring something more powerful.
I saw the word sailboats and got excited. I like that band. |

PIRATE, i totally agree with you that indie is way over used in wakeskate videos and we need to mix it up a bit more. you know i rather hear punk or hardcore in a video, but the truth is not many other people do. indie music edits really well to wakeskating and helps bring the smooth chill vibe of wakeskating to the tv.
punk music is intense which makes it harder to edit to. the tricks all have to be hammers and stomped(at least in my head) to go along with the music. the integrity part in Such is life is a perfect example of that. the music went perfect with the editing and the riding, no real lines mainly big tricks stomped hard. Erich really made it work well and made the part stand alone in the video.
after the integrity section it goes right into george daniels section which is a huge contrast. it has slow indie music, bright colors, and long lines of tricks. the music has that chill vibe that the rest of the part has.
i dont really know where im going with this, but i just want to say keep it original and do what YOU want. let the music be a tool to help carry the mood/feeling of your part along with the riding and editing. |

wakemitch, I THINK punk or as you call it "piratepunk" is good to use for wake to wake riding especially.... Huge Double ups ect......
Dont lie though you know Tim armstrongs new CD would go good in any video........
side note, i think that cd is suprisingly really good.
