|
|
| Lake hours tend to piss me off a lot, even though it's obviously for the better and to preserve the lake. Sometimes we'll get up to my cabin in Wild Rose, Wisconsin around 3, unpacked by 4 and then we're only on the lake for an hour the first day because of the 10-5 rule. I mean I don't understand why our damn lake can't just go "no wake" around dusk or so, at least in summer. It's a pain in the ass, especially when old grandpas blow air horns at 5:02 if you're still on the lake. Thank you for letting me vent my frustration, haha. Let me know if anyone else's lakes have hours. |

| Wow that sucks. I've never been on a lake with lake hours. I take it that its a small private lake? |

That does suck. As long as you have proper lighting, you can stay out on my lake through the night. PWC's have to be off the water half an hour after sunset because they don't have lighting, and since it doesn't get dark here until about 8:30, 7 in the evening is the perfect time for wakeskating because the water's calm.
You should definately find out who you should talk to in order to get that rule changed, because I have never even heard of a rule like that until now, and it's obviously a really dumb rule and it seems like there is no logical reasoning behind it. I think that with the right backing and maybe a little bit of time, you could get it changed. |

| find out who enforces this law and contact them and make a good case that the law is unreasonable and outdated. however, if it is a big fishing lake then forget about it |
