I got a job for the summer and was looking into buying a jet ski for wakeskating in Orlando. I'll hopefully have around $2000-2500 to spend. I was looking at the 04 sea-doo 700xl in my boat trader. Any suggestions?

I like the RXP's or RXT's. But if you didnt need as much power, I'd go for an older GTX

Yamaha and SeaDoo are both nice as hell. I prefer Yamaha because of the insane i/o wake mine has. I have a '98 1200 and i got it for i think... 3300, so for a little bit less i'm sure you could find almost as good Wink

the one thing im worried about when buying a ski is the reliability it has based on it's condition cause im not gonna have any money left once i lay down all that cash for it. so hopefully i can find one that isn't old as hell and won't blow up on me in less than a year

Pwater, personaly i wouldnt consider getting anything other than a Kawasaki. I have a 99, 900 three seater that has never broken down and barely uses any gas. I call her Charlene. She is about to turn 900(hours). I have broke way too many sea doo's in my day to even think about one. The Yamahas are nice and all but they are to big and waste so much gas(compared to my Kawasaki).

My buddy has the Kawi STX12F or whatever and its gone through 3 motor rebuilds (under warranty). Kyle41 has the Yamaha VX110 Delux and its the best ski ive ever ridden behind or driven. And my buddy has two VX Cruisers. The Yamaha's have such a solid pull and stay at speed with no problem, the wake is way more solid than any other ski ive ridden behind. And I've yet to hear any problems with it. My other friend has a RXP and it runs like crap. This is just my personal experience, not proven data, Ive ridden behind tons of ski's and I think the Yamaha is the best.

My boat runs on yamaha engines and i trust that they are really reliable.
