now im only half done, still have a little sanding to do, kicktails, concave, im am as we speak working on the artwork on the bottom(im going black and white charcoal because im in love with it) im hoping to have it done by this weekend, which will be hard due to 8-5 working hours and the sleepiness that comes with it. but hey, here are some pics, gimme some advice if you can/want to speak your mind, im not faint hearted
still 1 of 4 2' by 4' slab of 1/2'' birch plywood
trimmed, soaked, and starting to bend
finishing the bending process
i figured since im going finless i would try to give it some control, still needs to be cleaned up a little(alot but i dont want to admit it)

started the drawing, spent about 2 hours so far, but apparently we have no pencil sharpeners in the whole house and i dulled out all my pencils....bummer , but atleast you get a good idea of what its gonna look like, lots of shading to do and if time permits i may do some background, the sign above the pumpkin reads "solum in somniis" which translates from latin to "only in dream" or something close to it |

got another days work in today, took some pictures
finished artwork on the bottom, will prolly do a little touching up before i paint it, but other than that, thats all your getting.
mystery wood i found in my garage, it's about 1/8'' thick, and the one side was finished. Like i care. the plys are glued together with gorilla glue, the concave was finished drying and i just started on the kick tails
sanded the concave, actually turned out better than i thought it would, the kicktails are still drying at this point, but its clamped and should be ready for tommorow |

That graphic looks killer.
How exactly is the graphic going to stay on there, with the varnish or epoxy kep it on there? _________________ If you don't like my fire then don't come around. Cuz I'm gonna burn one down.

Bonis69, ummmmmm i think you forgot to add one more ply of wood to the top to cover up all of that concave?? Or you didnt sand it down or something??? You should buy like 3 sheets of grip next time too. But damn im still impressed that you could make something that good. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters.
