I just had to replace the griptape on my byerly legacy, and it was a pain in the a*#! I had to replace it because it started bubbling all over the place, and it came up on the whole toeside edge. Has anyone else had this problem? & also, does anyone know if i can get a stock replacement sheet from byerly? Mad

Yeah, Im pretty sure that it is one of the HARDEST boards to re-grip, and make it look decent. I e-mailed a hyperlite rep yesterday, so hopefully he'll get back to me soon.

My Legacy did the same thing, i talked to the shop i got it from and they said they would replae the board. But it would take a month or two to get a replacement so just ride the board till then. So i went and regripped it. My grip job looks like crap but it makes the board unique.lol Hyperlite didnt let the boards bake enough after paint, so the paint bubbles and sticks to the grip. so they recalled the boards.

mayb just leave it if the bubbles arent bad then it is no problem, like if u think about it will look better with a good job and little bubbles then if u redo it and its crappy and u may get even more bubbles, however if were talking about worn grip then it is worth redoing it

Dont talk to me about the grip tape. I had to redo the whole thing. BUT IMagine me out on my finals run for first place at the niagra falls xcup when your grip tape flies up and hits you in the legs. I was like WTF> i fell. Screwing up my entire run for finals. I still got second but man. Damn legacy.

Mine only had like 2 bubbles, but that wasnt really the problem. My whole toeside edge grip wasnt stuck to the board. it really sucks, but im getting a free one, so I'm not really complaining. Very Happy

Its hard to re-grip because of the kick tails. If you cut slits into the grip like the original grip it shouldn't be that hard. And shouldn't look that bad either.
