i just regripped my sattelyte today. its a pain in the ass trying to cut the excess off straight. i tryed using a screwdriver like a skateboard but with the round concave its hard. i fail. but all i care about is that i dont slip. Smash

wakemitch, cut the griptape before you put it on the board.. it takes a little longer but if you good you can make it look perfect

wakemitch, cutting the tape before application is key....at least for me. If it is a board you expect to have awhile and go thru several grip changes, then I recommend creating a template using just a regular piece of (big) paper or something. Then just outline the template on the new griptape, cut it out and slap it on. Believe me, it works real well.

wakemitch, Let me add something... my madness method is for a one or two piece application with larger sheets of grip tape, not skateboard deck size sheets.

Heres my byerly wanna-be 4trac... The hardest part was cleaning all the glue off the deck after tearing the foam off. I literally spent 3 hours with a bottle of goo gone.
and my edges of the grip aren't quite perfect either due to it being difficult to cut with the curved sidewalls, and I used a really crappy razor. its hard to tell but there's 4 different pieces of grip there.
but I like the way the paint turned out, it was just the color I was looking for.
