Hey I just wanted to see what all of ya'll thought about this...i ordered a kampus swing from buywake.com the 2003 models, and finally got it today, it had like after-market grip tape on it (i thought it didnt need griptape becuase it had some special sandy crap on it) and it was actually covering the wholes and shizzle for the fins....then after one day of riding its bubbling up...wtf! should i call buywake about this and demand a new one cuz this is just stupid, it seemed new other than that, but why did it have grip tape on it?!?!?!
EDIT:: i wanted to point out that the grip tape says nothing on it, if it was acutally done by kampus wouldnt it say it or have a K or something? |

I have the same board and it came in the mail from buywake about three weeks ago.. Here's the dealy-o. Kampus stopped doing the sand-grit stuff halfway through last season and just sold the decks without grip for cheaper. Buywake.com is probably gripping them. Griptape naturally bubbles from being in the sun, just pop them with a tack. I'm not having any problems with mine. _________________

I personally would just close it up with 5-minute epoxy, but you could call kampus about it too. They may or may not warantee last years' decks. _________________
