I have the green helium flak vest, and it has the lumbar support. The lumbar support is getting a little tight, and somewhat loosing its comfort because of it. I was wondering if anyone else had this vest or has cut the lumbar support out of one before? Sound like a good idea? Heres some pics.

The vest itself is this but a army green.

I did it, it was real easy. I left about an inch of each strap on each side, just so I didn't get to close and make some seams rip. Its real nice now.
