360 Shuvs

Hey watup, i know ur going to say check other forums but i have been looking and im just curious, i recently got a vinyl and its sick, i loveeeee it, it makes me pop and for shuvs, 90 shuvs out and body varials its solid, however i cant seem to come close to a 3 shuv and i was wondering some tips, im curently riding with shanks fins and i have been trying in the flats, but i cant seem to spin the board enough i spin it a little and i just fall, anything to help me would be appreciated, i either focus too much on pop and get no spin or too much spin and get no pop and then it gets caught

mc.willz,

the pop and spin go together.....don't focus on one too much

...be aware that you are entering the big trick domain when your throwin 3 shuvs. You need a lotta mustard on that dogg. try moving your back foot all the way back and have your toes nearly over your toe side edge, this gives you some leverage so that you can throw the full 360.

Cut out in the flats and take down some big shuvs....now go back out and go bigger for the 3 and throw that joker twice as far out in front of you than you think and spin her hard with your back foot...........try and recover your feet so they are apart and put her lights out

Take your shanks off. I ride a vinyl and it releases from the water real nicely with no fins. Keep in mind that it is all personal preference though... maybe you like fins. I rode mine for 2 days with fins, took them off, and started bangin out 3 shuvs way more consistently.

coricluster, skatefilly, you guys make me feel good about what I love to do, and that is put three shuvs to bed. My old lady is going to Detroit tommorrow, I wonder how close that is to you guys?

ya i think mayb ill try with no fins, but do u think it will be more difficult for other tricks, mayb 1 finn? i dunno

it is easer for me to do them with fins it really makes me pop them high before i shove it around.

i kinda do it all pop and kick at the same time, im not real good at em yet but the key is to keep ur weight centered if u dont u will have a tendancy to either fall back and try to save urself or land in the front for a few seconds, nose dive and then ditch. lol at least thats wut happens to me about 75% of the time

I have the vinyl to and I find that this happens when I am trying to pop it to hard. I would just slam it into the water with my back foot and it would spin slow and not that high. If you just go a bit easier and do more of a swoop with your back foot it actually spins faster and higher. I found this out because one night I was trying them and couldnt get em. then I got real lazy on one and stomped her clean. anyway hope this helps and good luck.
