electricsnow, i usually always watch skate vidoes before i ride to get me stoked and to give me influence. i rarely watch wakeskate vids at all anymore, infact its been months since ive put one in the dvd player.
i will admit though, when one of my friends told me that my kickys looked like pure "wakeskate style" i was very stoked. eventually wakeskating will develop its own style, eventually. |

I basically agree, Mr. Top Hat. Wakeskating derives a lot of inspiration from skating (from tricks to basic style principles), but it still is not skating. I was re-reading an old magazine last night, and aaron reed said something about how wakeskating reminds him of skating, but it still definitely has its own feeling (and this is true). Wakeskates are freaking huge, like when you look at a backside big flip...it looks different, and the aesthetic is different....but somehow guys like reed hansen and danny hampson find some crazy energy and figure out how to flick those huge ass things and make their flip tricks look good. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

thanks all you guys for the shout outs and support. you guys are awesome. as far as this:
| Quote: | | ok.let somebody scream at me.but i kno how hard that must be but to me that is ugly.ide much rather see a w2w kickflip flicked and caught then having a mobbed double flip land on the water feet close together on the nose.this is just an opinion from somebody coming with a skateboard background. |
I first of all want to say that I would probably be really mad if it was something I had been doing for a while and it wasnt caught. But what you dont know was I hadnt even tried it til that day Bill was shootin so I was gonna get somethin mellower so I tried some re-entry v-flips and some re-entry tre- flips. then I decided to try somethin new. about 20-25 trys later i landed it. and I was stoked, I did ask him if we can go get a better one and bring out the vid. but he had to go. So I couldnt help it anyway there gonna run it. I am glad theres room for improvement, it was the first one ever. so I am sorry you didnt enjoy my first w2w double kicky. but thanks everyone else your awesome.
