SHAWK, Can you move your feet around on the velcro while riding? If not, why not just wear bindings? You said the ride is completely different but I can't see the different between one of your boards and a short wakeboard with comfortable bindings?
And why would this be a good way to train for wakeskating? It seems like if you get comfortable riding with your feet locked in when you transition back to the skate it would throw you off. You obviously can't practice shuv and flip tricks while ollies and w2w tricks feel completely different when your not locked in.
What can you train for? |

kyle13, I think this advertising technique is referred to as "glittering generalities"
But on the serious note...Does anyone foresee a lot of knee/ankle injures due to the "one foot in/one foot out" style crashes being more easily accomplished? |

Mr. Top Hat, i agree, i saw a pic of a skate on their website with hyperlite p-wing fins on it, and 4 of them
i know he is trying to do something for the sport and make a new craze, but this is the wrong one imo, but good luck to ya _________________ Helium - Devotid Wakeskates - Anarchy Eyewear |

SHAWK, i like the thought! seems interesting, no disrespect but it just seems like the shawkboard takes the "fun" out of skating. (coming from a skateboard background i love the flip tricks and shuv's and the "freedom" of not strapping). but i would love to try your board out!
i can't offer you much exposure on my end (small scene here) but i ride with the guys from OC waterways occasionally, and i'd happily pass it around those guys (Ocean City, MD)
let me know if you wanna send one out this way.
good luck with the new line of products |

You can move your feet, yet at the same time your feet are stuck enough to do flips and raleys.... Yes it is very comfortable. The guys in Australia have found it great for practicing skate tricks on rails.
The binding system is for all board sports, not just wakeskating and wakeboarding. It is used for kiteboarding, wakesurfing, tow-in surfing....
So far the most popular applications has been for use on wakeskates and wakeboards.
The system gives you the ability to ride a sports board with a traction pad or remove it and ride it in comfortable bindings. Then change it back again...

| I just have to say I have an incredible respect for the way you and your company reacted to this thread. People can criticize and people can stoak it up all they want but it means nothing until someone has actually tried it out. Even though I don't think Shawkboarding is something I would get into, I look forward to hearing what some of the dudes on here that are getting one have to say. Good luck. It will be interesting to hear what a "wakeskater" thinks of it. |
