| just get one of the oaks for your first board. they should let you progress well without you having to worry about your deck dying on you. |

Well Oak beats the sh¡t out of LF so between those two i'd recommend the moondog. I'm pretty sure only a couple people on this site have ridden the Vinyl... it just came out. Give it time. _________________ - Evan Molina |

well, personally I would not mind trying out an impulse, just to check out. if you're looking at a 41 or a 42, you should be good to go as far as quality goes. The kicktails are longer and for me, i really like that.
The oak team machine is their new shape for this season, and I'm hoping i'll be able to get one for a review. I saw all of their boards in person...but i can't remember a whole lot. However, mikey t. gave me a bunch of shots of the team machine so we do have a little photo gallery in the media section of the site. The concave looks smooth and those also have a pbt base.
finally, I don't know anything about how the vinyl works. There have been a ton of threads on that board, so I'd do a search and see what other people have said. Ultimately, it's not about how I or anyone else feels about a particular board, it's about how you feel about it and if it's something that will suit your style and allow you to have some fun out there. because if you hate your board, you'll hate life.

Here's a link to that oak gallery. Again, it only has the team machine because all of the other shapes are the same as the previous year's line. http://www.wakeskating.com/media/showgallery.php?cat=581 _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

skatewake41, You'd pretty much have the construction of an omen, minus some certain materials... But none the less it would be a wood core... If they covered it completely it would probably no longer feel like a wood board. _________________ - Evan Molina |

becuase they get boards for free and can break them with no worries about buying a new one ... i remember hearing about reed on the rail jam tour having to have like at least 3 decks with him at each event.
there shape is killer but the longevity of their decks is what they need to improve for the average buyer IMO .. _________________ Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. |

| oopsds92, all the LF riders seem to like the impulse but none of the hyperlite riders seem to. the shape must not be that great considering ive never seen a hype rider even on an impulse. |

spadedout41, last year's boards are different from this year's boards. I haven't heard a single complaint about the 41 or the 42 impulse from LF this year. And quite frankly, there shouldn't be a problem with them considering they're made in the same factory that sattelyte has their boards made in.

go Oak!
Impulses fall apart. I broke last years 43 the 1st day out.
Liquid Force = Big Company + Good Team
Oak = Core Wakeskate Company + Built to Last |
