Hey all, I havent posted on here in forever, but I still wakeskate as much as I can. I was thinking about this today while I was at work.. What would my life be like without wakeskating?
I started skating about 2 years ago and Ill be the first to admit that im not that great at all for 2 years of riding, partly due in fact that I only ride 2x a week when its nice out, if im lucky. Even though im terrible, wakeskating has taken over my life. This sounds funny, but it actually made me more of an outgoing person and helped shape who I am. I dont know of any movie I can watch 30+ times and not get tired of it, or meet as many amazing people as I have through wakeskating. Anyways I just wanted to show my respects to the sport and all its done for me. I hope to be 70 one day and still gettin out on the water and tearing it up
Peace, Ben _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

STraight up dude thats awesome to hear someone out there just enjoying the sport man, wakeskating to me is a passion, its what I live for I'm not good either but i still go out there and give it my best, the entire wakeskating/wakeboarding communitie is full of awesome people, I've met countless pro's who will go out of their way to help you out and to help progress the sport, everytime someone comes into the shop I work at to get a skate i just love the fact that it is still getting bigger and bigger, my little bro is 15 and hes getting into it now and i love that, its a beautiful thing man it brings people together, and just like you i hope to ride for the rest of my days, till my legs fall off and i have to replace them with pegs, I will ride till I die, keep on slashen the wake.

that is deep integrity640,
skating to me is just having fun, not focusing on pushing myself super hard, but rather just having a good time and kicking it wiht the homies in the sun, on the water. |

integrity640, im know exactly what your talking about. i used to have really shallow friends (and i still do) but because of wakeskating i know some of teh raddest people that are so nice that live all over the country and even rode with people from all over the world. i know for a fact i would have never had any of the experience if i didnt wakeskate. you learn more about life and how people act and what is really important, not just the stupid drama that controls most peoples lives. wakeskating has changed my life and personality 100%. its the best thing i could ever have hoped for. i will LOVE it forever, after i die |

integrity640- thats one of the best posts i have ever seen on this site..its so true what wakeskating has become and what it is still to be is so amazing, the sport is constantly growing, and i love it. Wakeskating is my life and the way i see it im just livin' the dream doin what i love to do. The people, the sport, the atmosphere is just perfect in every aspect. Take the projects for example, that place has to be the sickest place on earth, i have been there twice and when your there you just think like..wow this is my life, i am luckiest person. Just goin out every day on the water with your homies you shred with and just lovin life every minute of it. Takin a set on the butter in the mornin and that last set before dark, its the best feeling ever.

Ben, I miss you. You are talkin about something mighty high on the food chain. Sometimes a brother like yourself is humble enough to pay hommage to something special. It is what we all feel is an amazing way of life. I am truly thankful for fufilling the stokedness that my soul yearns. There are so many expressions you all have laid out, that are good to hear. They are similar to the way I feel.
To me it means........well let's just call it a tea party
You and your freinds out on the water, breathing the fresh air. Next time you're out take a breathe and then another. It just feels good to savor the simplest thing. The weightless feeling with the water. The boats confidence and worthy reputation, ignite the beast so that she may slay. The scenery like healthy vegetables nourishing your soul, the sound of the wind the birds add the most stimulting orchestra. Hollar at your boys as they charge the unknown, let em know you're there ...let em know you care. Maybe some lunch is in store, what will it be today will there be any hammocktime...oh yeah, and maybe some horseshoes later, speaking
of shoes.....
It's time to put on my dance shoes. Yesterday we may have trudged through the kitchens at work , but today we waltz. I take her hand in mine with respect for her beauty. Her firmness tells me she is gonna need the T L to the C. Now we take to the water with her beneath me However, she'll eat my head like the praying mantis if I don't show respect for her beauty and allow her dress to flow. _________________ dbanana wrote:
