Throwing stals and droping inwould have to be done...sounds like one of the coolest ideas ive heard of, if it would work, it would totally be worth investing in....backyard wakeskating...and not the byerly style.. _________________ Grip it and Rip it! |

This is definitely possible because a couple of years ago grubb was wakeskating on some stationary wave in france (a natural stationary wave--it was in alliance). I don't know how fast that water was travelling...but I guess it was fairly easy to recover from stuff, partially due to the fact that the water was kind of shallow and if you had one foot come off, you could sort of step back on. And if they did actually fall, they had people waiting downstream to catch the boards.
At what current (water) speed could you actually get away with doing this? One other thing to mention is that for the individual, I don't think something like this is all that feasible...those pools are expensive. Let me put it this way, it certainly won't be cheaper than a winch...and when you think about it, it would kind of get boring. I'd rather skateboard... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

| one time there are those lazy river places and mine went pretty damn fast at this waterpark and i tied a rope to a bridge and took my wakeskate and started wakeskating. it was pretty fun but you had to acid drop from the sides to start. |

I've ridden on one of the flowrider man made wave things in south africa, it was good fun, like snowboarding with all your weight on the back foot. They dont give you bindings though, so me bradford we're hitting shuv-it's, and tried one kickflip, very bad idea!! There was one local guy going off, shuv 3's and blind 180s using it as a quater pipe, that was cool.
