i was watching tv and seen a comercial for something called the "endless pool". its about the size of a hot-tub, but pumps water in one direction so you can swim. i was wondering if if u could attatch a rope and use it to wakeskate? has anyone eles heard of this thing?

I've always wanted to do that, you would have to have a really powerful one and the tub would have to be really long

I had always wondered that too... whether or not there would be a way to devise something to make a water flow that you could ride on but remain stationary. That would be so insane. It would be prime for learning all kinds of technical tricks.

if i remember correctly when i saw one there was LOTS of water turbulence. add to that the fact that its much, much too small. there is the question of what might happen if the board flies out from under you....it either slams against the wall of the pool or flies out and possibly breaks something else...

cool idea though. it would be pretty sweet if owc or one of the cable parks installed a bunch of these off to the side so they could teach people how to learn stuff like ollies, shuvs, kick flips, etc. i think it could be a very useful tool since the instructors can stand pretty much right next to the rider in the pool.

what happens though when you fall down. Youd get like trown against the back wall of the pool and it would be hard to swim back to get things going again. IT could be done though i just think that it would neeed like a kill switch like a seadoo has it would have to be realy wide. think of it this waythough if u can make a winch your one step closer into figuring out the next big idea.

yeah, ha ha, you would definitely need like a kill switch and a major pad, because in the less than a second that it takes you to fall down I am pretty sure that water would smash you into the back wall and you would get smoked.

that would be so sweet now that I think about it... if it was an inground thing you could rip around in it and do stalls and stuff on the edges of the pool, and then just drop back in.
