|
|
Yo I have been wakeskating for 10 years. Skates have changed so much in the past 4-5 years though and I am having trouble staying updated. Anyways I have been riding a beat-up 4 year-old hyperlite byerly 107 with the crow and last year I got a LF impulse 43
I put a huge crack in the impulse the first day out. I took it out about 3 more times ...Landed a ton of shuvs and 180s and then it broke on the sides and the grip came off. The LF fell apart so quick I was so pissed. I really like the grip, but the deck seemed too heavy and big. Overall, I just wasn't happy with the board.
So, I am in the market for a new skate this year. Right now I am considering an Omen Revolt or an Oak Team.
I would really appreciate any input on what skate is the best or what works best for all types of riding from rails to w2w. I skateboard so I really want a good concave with a ton of pop and a long life. |

I ride a Revolt and I just won an Oak that im waiting on. I love my omen.. the pop is amazing and I love the width and overall shape. The weight is perfect and the Durasurf base is nice for rails. Also the reshapable rails are nice to adjust to your preference. If you want to see how it performs w2w just check out some videos of Drew Danielo. I think that will answer your question.
Don't single out LF just yet, they have a totally new company producing their boards and I've yet to hear any problems with the 07 line.. The new impulse comes in 3 sizes from 40-42.
Ive heard nothing but good things about the Oak.. Im waiting on the lifetrap.. but a lot of people are riding the team machine. I dont want to talk too much about them considering I haven't ridden the 07 line yet. |

OMEN"S ARE SICK .... i just took mine out for the first session today when i arrived up north and WOW this skate is bad ass ... the only draw back i found to be true for me on the 5 stage is that it rides a little slower in the water then my old oak ge ge _________________ Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

Either board is a magic carpet ride of joy. I prefer Oaks, but either purchase is a solid one. _________________

If i had to choose between the 2, ide probably pick up an Oak.
Although i havent ridden one yet, they look sick. I havent heard one complaint about them yet. Ive ridden an Omen and it felt weird. Nice, but would probably take me a while to get used too. |

| PLEASE Before you get an Omen ride it. 7 stage is NOt for everyone. Take my word, i thought it would be awsome, i rode it, its pop is epic and its a crazy bored. I didnt like it thought because u cant ever land nose heavey. kinda sucks. But w/e i ride oak, and its an AWSOME bored. If you cant try an omen out, hit up the oak, get a moondog or team machine. |

| -=AlexXx=-, ive always felt the opposite about landing nose heavy on the revolt but everyone is comfortable with different things. i come to not like my omen as much. its probably the best board ive ever had and with probably last for a century i just think its a little light and ive moved to wanting more concave. a few other reason too but i generally have just moved on and realized "WHAT I" personally want in a board. |

| Just got the oak team in the mail. Super Nice...The graphics look much better than any pics online and the bottom is super slick. There is a bit of glue residue here and there but that just means this thing is sealed tight. Overall I am impressed with the shape, feel, custom grip, graphics, and free shipping from woodys garage, I will post pics of the deck and let you guys know how it rides for those who are thinking of going oak soon. |
