Wrexz, where in CT are from?

Texas does food right, period... There is one place that we tried in Hartford that was pretty decent, but who wants to pay 13$ for an enchilada dinner (when you can get like double the amount of food in Texas for about 5$)... Also, if I'm going to a restaurant to eat Mexican food, the food better be Mexican... which means no store bought tortillas, chips, etc... only homemade will do...

Slapdown, my dad is full Mexican, his parents live in Arizona, which the food they make is a little bit different in style than what most Mexicans in Texas make, but it's still incredible. I don't know about you, but when I visit my grandparents, there will always be a pot of beans on the stove and homemade tortillas ready to go.

senorbueno, I'm from New Haven.
I don't really go up to Hartford much, especially for food. But New Haven has something like 120 restaurants around the city, mostly downtown. You can find like any kind of food you want. Theres this $5 burrito cart on one of the busy street corners... I'm getting hungry or one just thinking about it.

My dad's full mexican as well, and my grandma lives like 5 minutes away in our old house. Same thing goes for me though, there's always a pot of something or other, and of course tortillas at her place. But damn... her enchiladas... WOW.
