Just got my 7/64" amsteel rope. It is actually bigger than 1/8" It does stretch a bit, but nothing compaired to the "guywire" rope I got before. At only .13 a foot I have yet to find anything better. Here is a pic.

Its not actually metal wire, its a 12 strand spectra. strength is 1200 lbs. Used it last night and it worked great. Did not notice any stretch on the dock start I did.

If I recommend a rope for winchin, I'd have to go with the glow in the dark line from accurate. It's probably going to cost 250, but night winchin would be dirty. I'm gonna upgrade to it when my rope goes. If you got a rope that works for cheap, more power to you. Have fun! Razz

Jeff is right.. We have a new 100% Dyneema uncoated wakeboard winch rope that will be available soon.. I still don't have a final price on it yet, but it will be very competitive with the rope at the top of this post.

Thanks,

kyle41, it floats. The specific gravity is 0.98. Here is a link to the specs.

http://www.samsonrope.com/index.cfm?ind=1&app=3&rope=190&inst=1

I believe there is a error on the elasticity section. They should be either decimals or percentages. A 30% elongation at less than 0.1% breaking strength would be very elastic.

Looks like really quality line. Samson is marketing the stuff specifically for wakeboarding.

Who has it? I was planing in buy the BulletLines but its kinda expensive for me right now... so I started to consider this 'Samson Rope'.

Is it good 2? Float well? The 7/64 is enough or should I get the 1/8?

Please let me know! Thanks //
