its like this hyperlite/liquid force sponsor event but are everyone running out to buy their product cause its the right thing too do. ya maybe kids who see their adds and stuff but the real wakeskaters are buying the product that is the best quality and gives them the best ride.
so just like the whole debate on which wakeskate to buy buy the jet ski that you get the best deal on has the best rep and listen to other peoples comments but end the end go with what you want cause you gotta pay for it
oh ya and yamaha foo sho |

Cody25911, so basically because seadoo sells the most products worldwide we should all go out and buy them because its the cool thing to do?
you also said "i hope they break down because thats what the warranty is for"
........um, im sure everyone else will agree with me when i say that i would prefer to have my jetski run well and never have to use the warranty then to plan on it breaking down and thinking its alright because there is a warranty.
in 2000 my family bought two jetskis, a yamaha and a seadoo. the seadoo broke down so often we ended up getting another seadoo to replace it, but the second one also broke down almost every other week. we still have the yamaha and have never had problems with it, we have since replaced the second seadoo with another yamaha and have not had any problems since. |

I have an 05 sea doo wake with 275 hrs on it, never had any problems with it whatsoever.
The wake does seem a little flat, I would like to try out a Yamaha to compare the two.. but then again there's never two people on it while I'm riding _________________ ------------------------------------------------------

I was just putting my opinion out there, buy what you want, I was just stating my case just like everyone elese. I have prefered sea-doo way before my paycheck came from them, I raced for Sea-doo for 5 years before I worked for them, with every manufacture offering me stuff, but I went were I felt was rite, and who offered the most support, and who sold the most units, sales is what keeps the sports we do running. By all means if Yamaha is your choice, be my guest, but I will also go out on a limb and say if I brought both brands to the water, at the end of the day, most of you would go home with the sea-doo.

With Sea-Doo all you are buying is the name. When people think jetskis they automatically think Sea-Doo. But I own a 1993 Yamayha Pro-Vxr and it has never once broke down on me. So this weekend i went and bought a 2000 GP1200R. havent rode it yet. If you want reliability then Yamaha is the way to go. They have to be doing something right they have been making skis since 1989. IMO _________________ .............for no particular rhyme or reason............. |

kyle41, I had two of those but they had to be sold.........in order to get my new Supra 24' boat. Which is amazing. But those jetskis are amazing. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. To each his own... |

My yamaha has 780+ hours on it and it's only been to the shop twice and both were my fault.
LF sold way more skates than Integrity in 06, doesn't mean the quality was even comparable. _________________ √ |

i have 2 seadoo's. they are 1998's with 54 hours on them when i bought them. they had been sitting for 5 years with no riding at all. with a carb cleanup they ran awesome, almost pefect. minus the one that sank but that was the dealers fault for installing the bildge pump backwards . other than that, one of our seadoos has been having problems but we suspect the carbs need an overhaul, which isnt bad for being so old and sitting for so long(this one was never fixed as first) so overall i can say i love my seadoo, but i have never ridden a yamaha. the yamaha dealers around here suck.
which is why i would say, go with whoever gives you the best support, is friedly, and makes you feel most at home when at their dealership. |

hyfliteskate, regarding 4-stroke, there's no problem with "slow starts" on the Yamaha Vx DeLuxe. _________________ _____________________________

06 wake edition here. no problems whatsoever. i've been very happy with it.
the poop i just took has more importance than the debating going on here.
it's just like a chevy/ford or democrat/republican argument.
buy what you want. |

urinal mint, I don't think it's that pointless. I mean yeah the points people are making are a little weak, but the original question could be pretty crucial for some people. I mean some people can't afford to just pick out a ski that they will be pretty nice. I've been in the market lately and i know i can't spend that much and i need something that will last me a while and also give decent performance. From what i've read here (never thought about it before but i'm sure it will help) it seems that yamaha's overall don't require as much maintenance, and would be the better buy for someone who can't afford taking it ski to a shop often. I can understand the whole "buy what you want" argument when it comes to skates and such.. everyone has their own style and whatnot when it comes to that. But in towing devices it's not like one ski/winch/boat/whatever will run better or longer for a different person.
I don't really know if i made a good point or if i just rambled for a minute... it's early, i'm tired. But there's my 2 cents _________________ - Evan Molina |

That being said, anyone know of any deals on any ski? I just need one to run haha. I'm looking for about $2k. Unfortunately i can't pay a whole bunch for one, but as long as it runs and can pull someone it's fine for me. We've been looking locally mainly but i just wanted to go ahead and ask if anyone on here knew of a good deal..
Thanks _________________ - Evan Molina |
