Does anyone on here from austin live out on the perd? They say Travis is 6 feet from being totally full again.... Just wondering how the perd's look'n. Hope its rideable this season sure is a sweeeet spot....

Yeah I love it out there no foolish yacht boats churning up the water and very few tubers all natural shore lines..... Ive yet to have a bad day there due to conditions.

lake tarpon, what you dont like all the people zooming around on jetskis and brand new malibus doing circles pulling tubes and the redicoulus amount of houses on the shore line each with their own boat dock with brand new skis and boats covered and on their cradles perfectly?????? Rolling Eyes

Its actually not a lake its one of two rivers that feed the main lake in Austin, Lake Travis. If your ever in Texas I would highly recommend you check it out. Crazy Eyes

brianl289, Its outside of austin on the northwest side of Travis.
bochner, Mostly local yokels and diehard riders looking for glass. Its prettty low key. I dont think Ive ever seen anyone skate'n out there only wackboarding.
lake tarpon, Yeah theres hardly any houses out there mostly a bunch of cows and longhorns.

I have been in san marcos for 2 years and have yet to ride "the perd"... but i have herd nothing but good things and i cross over it every time i head to the lake house and usually its smooth... when there was actually water in it, but i am defiantly really anxuouse to get out there and ride it... but i come from riding in a small creek with no boats and naturally shore lines and wind blocking trees... and nasty muddy water but its always smooth so it will be the ultimate test to see how smooth the perd really is....

I am a child of lake travis and the water gods.

It's risen 19 ft in like a week! I'm so stoked. SkateForce and i are gonna ride some this weekend and maybe build a rail or pool gap into the lake. But sweet jesus i'm glad we got all that rain. Summer was lookin pretty grim.
