Anyone hear when the new OMENS are supposed to be available? Really want to get my hands on a Effigy.

BigRand33, Were finishing up the final testing on the Effigy and the Transition ( our new 3 stage all wood concave) in the next two weeks.
Both skates should be available in about 6 weeks, just in time for the start of the season. _________________ arson-wake.com |

dylo, Soon, I'll actually have a PDF online version of the 07 catalog online pretty soon.
twgapk, I'm shooting for $225 maybe a tad more or less, I'll know for sure here in a few weeks when we decide on what exact construction to go with. _________________ arson-wake.com |

SleuCrew, I'd get one, but damn, I think that my OMEN is going to last a few years, I might be buying whatever you release in 2009- though. _________________ forever shreddin' |

wakeshredder, That was a design flaw... they dont break and they last too long
The Effigy rides much better than the Revolt, so if you like your Revolt imagine the same kind of longevity but an even better ride. _________________ arson-wake.com |

SleuCrew, Can you describe any of the advantages of the new board? It sounds like you are quite happy with your updated design. What's the deal? Let us know. _________________ forever shreddin' |

wakeshredder, quite a few things, a new sidewall material that is easier to re-shape that's about an 8th of an inch thicker with a new stock rail shape. A new custom spec fiberglass that is awesome.
I also decided to get rid of the Dura Surf base due to all of the problems we had last year waiting on base material and taking so long to ship boards. I've had a custom thickness European PBT made just for all our boards this year. This new stuff is sweet! The graphics look 1000x better and its holding up just as well as the Dura Surf as far as hitting rails. Removing the Dura Surf actually brought a little more life to the board as well.
Oh, and all of your stickers will stick to the base now too! _________________ arson-wake.com |

CrzyTexan, BigRand33, No pre-orders this year. We are no longer selling boards direct to the public, only via shops carrying our stuff. The shops don't like feeling like they are competing with the manufacturer to sell product so we took our direct sales down from the site now that we are fairly well established in the shops.
However you can still order online in the Buy section from one of the select online retailers. I'll be updating that section soon to have west coast, east coast and a middle area shop to purchase from online so people can save on shipping depending where they live. It should work out really well and make for quicker shipping. _________________ arson-wake.com |

Wait so your saying...its better to sell through shops.....SleuCrew, only if all the others were as smart as you. Personally I think its lame when you can only buy a product on a companies webpage. I think its better for everyone, when you sell through shops, it gives you more credibility, and helps everyone. I understand that when your first starting, the online route is best. Well good luck, cant wait to see the new decks. |

mikeskatesonwater, Both options have the pro's and con's but its important to grow the brand via the shops. Being able to just walk into you local shop and pick up a board is important vs. being able to only order it online and wait for it to come.
I think a lot of people getting into wakeskating make poor board decisions because they don't have any other options when they go into a shop to buy a skate.
It seems like some people get very discouraged with wakeskating when they buy a skate from a shop and it falls apart the first week they have it. I just want to see the sport grow in a positive direction. _________________ arson-wake.com |
