why is it that impulse walton is said to be made in taiwan? is the reed and hampson made in taiwan as well? is that the reason impulse walton is already out on the market because it can be produced easily? hmmmm.... some conspiracy theory... hehehehehe!! _________________ R.O.T.S. Familia

The 40 inch decks are being pressed overseas because the Canadian plant that is making the 41" and 42" can't make them fast enough. Contrary to popular belief, this decision had nothing to do with the name that was on the board. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

Midnightlightning, So its just a coincidence that all the wood decks that have been made overseas snap in half within a few days of riding them but the ones that are built in Canada all hold up? _________________ arson-wake.com |

frankycouplepuphs, check like 5 other topics on the sst. LF is yet to release anything on it... althought they did have it on their website for a bit. (mystery). I would also like the take the time to tell everyone that contrary to what most people on this site will tell you, I rode the same LF wood deck all year last year. they are good boards. and i hit rails all year, also... _________________ www.kcwatersports.com |

hey sleucrew, wood will break no matter what, its just a matter of when. Unfortunately a lot break earlier than expected, what can we do? Its wood!
I use lf decks, some last long and some don't. nobody said its an exact
science when it comes to the integrity of wood decks just yet _________________ Salty Dog got groove...

Midnightlightning, There is a big difference between the wood decks that have been made overseas and the ones made in the states / canada. One of the shop kids here broke I believe 3 06 Reeds in a two days and about 13-14 of the impulse's last year.
He's been riding a 07 reed and its holding up so far... You don't see people breaking Oak's and Sat's the first day they ride them do you?
Pure wood decks will break over time you are right, but the longevity of something made overseas vs. something thats made in north america is blatantly obvious.
It's not science, its called quality. plain and simple..
I have an all wood concave I'll be releasing soon, and I've had no problems with them holding up... obviously over time they will succumb to water damage but so far these decks have been in and out of the water for the past 6 months with a ton of abuse and haven't had a single problem. I credit that to proper design, quality wood "not the cheap ply wood most use" and quality manufacturing here in our factory in the good ole USA. _________________ arson-wake.com |
