You can do whatever you want if your good enough, i personally can manual it, but other more technical stuff im not so good at. The kicktails make it easy to lean it and manual around, etc. Its a fun board.

I'm sooo glad they got rid of the "gate" or "karma" it was hands down one of the worst boards I have ever ridden......on the flip side the new byerly legacy looks like an amazing deck...its ok to make mistakes as long as you learn from them...

hmm, i disagree i liked riding my gate, was different, took awhile to get used too but it also allowed for other tricks easier. Have u seen Brandon Thomas ride it? He can do some sick stuff. The gate had some good pop though and held well on the rails. The legacy looks nice tho, expensive.

I've heard Gates can be nice if you chop the kicktails a little bit...I believe Kento rides (or used to ride) a chopped/regripped Gate...a long witha few other people on this site.
I ride an 04' Catalyst and I got to ride a 06' Karma last summer and I did not like it at all, it fealt even narrower than my Catalyst.
With that aside, it all comes down to personal preference in the end. |

yeah i realized that too when i rode my buddys catalyst but i stuck with my gate and it worked alright for me, could land shuvs no to bad and wake to wake was alright because of the bigger surface (114)..ive never thought of chopping it, may work though, thanks for the idea. Im tryin to sell it though so if someone buys or trades for it they could do it if they dont like the feel. Mainly i think im too small for it, i also ride a smaller cassette 41" and its nicer for my style, but who knows.
