Am Wakeskate Contest runs consist of?

I'm not talking about w2w shuvs.
At our BC tour, if you can throw a couple 180s in or the (SUPER TECH!!!) 3shuv, you'll be on the podium. The scene here is not too advanced...people do try harder stuff, but rarely land it. I've seen one person land anything off the rail out of all the contests I've been to.
Also, the judging is pretty sketch most of the time. If it's not w2w, you probably won't get scored for it, because the judges are just volunteer wakeboarders for the most part, and tend not to catch anything else that well

i.e. fs big = FS180!!!! ++++!!!

Ctipping, yea last year I went to one comp. The judging did seem a little bit sketchy. Most of the guys I competed against were doing w2w kinda stuff and were getting scored huge. I had a pretty tech run and didn't get the greatest score. I even threw in a sketchy back big, but whatever, it was a good experience and I got free shorts!

i read somewhere that most of the judges for contest are wakeboarders. i think wakeskating would be hard to judge too if you had no idea about what tricks were called what and diffuculty

Beaver, hell yes they are...

Wakeboarding judges are hella sketchy though...the only thing they really score is w2w stuff....so tanner...you're done! Twisted Evil

The contests here are judjed by the skaters themselfs. Since everyone is just about havin' fun and there's no cash prizes, there has never been a problem.

Every time a wakeboarder tried to judge they'd sey like... that dude did 5 shuvs an the other one did 3, but they never knew the difference between tricks!!!

Ctipping, AM wakeskate has all the pros judging so they get a little better judges. I have learned quite a bit of new w2w Mr.Tipping. you shall see, i have full axis to 3 wakesetters this summer also. Birthday
