Well, I suck...

I have a normal metal band that I work with, but this is a bit of a step away from it.
All I have here is a shittily home recorded acoustic song. I can't sing properly, and my guitar playing is sub-par (which would explain me playing bass for the metal band).
It is terrible.

Now...how can I make it better?

There are a lot of good artists that "can't sing". Just listen to Bright Eyes or some early Smiths or whatever. Just make it your own thing, develop your own style.
