Ok I am once again stuck between two boards. A 07 devotid concave, or a 06 Integrity team. This is my first board, so I wont be hitting rails, but I do want it to last because money is slow for me except for the holidays Smile The 07 devotid is 200$ with free t-shirt and free shipping, and the 06 Integrity team is 263$ after shipping. I know the devotid has kick tails, and I do skateboard so I think that would feel good, but it will eveuntally fall apart. I wont be skating untill April, and I make 40$ a month. Right now I have 220$ so that means I could get the devotid now or the Integrity in one month. So should I really go all out and get a really nice composite board for my first one, or just stick with a wood one that is very strong?

for your first board go with something cheaper like just a plain old flat deck, and with your kind of income you could buy two. Very Happy

Actually, if you learn the basics on a flat deck, you will rip on a concave. That's not to say that you should start out on a flat deck, but it's not impossible to do.

And those two boards are going to ride totally different, and both have different features to offer. Evaluate what you're looking for in a board and if at all possible, try to demo. And is that devotid really 15.5 inches wide at the tip and tail? That sounds more like a waist measurement, but I could be wrong...

that's the lamest thing I've ever heard.

Almost every wakeskater you've ever heard of started on flat decks.
A couple of years ago George Daniels won the pro tour on one of the simplest decks on the market (Kampus K-series)

There is nothing wrong with wanting a nicer board, but don't think that those new Nike golf clubs are going to make you Tiger Woods.

Nobody here is going to be able to tell you what board is right for you. You have to decide that for yourself. Sure they can tell you what boards they like and all, but that's their preference. There is a guy selling some skates for $75. There is a Cassette in there, and I have heard nothing but great things about them in the past.

provin1327, weren't you the one that was supposed to get an 07 lf from evogear bc your 06 delamed?

Instead of trying to compare every companies skates just buy one and ride it. All of the companies you have been talking about are making good skates.

I heard to not get a flat deck from wakeboarder.com in the wakeskate section, but to get a concave for my first deck, but I guess they were wrong. I can't demo right now, its snowing, and will be for the next 3 or 4 months. And where would I go to demo anyways? Local shop? Theres 2 in Denver.

It's not a matter of right or wrong, it's just what you want out of your board. You seem pretty anxious to get a concave, so get a concave. It's your choice, and either way you decide, you are gonna be super stoked on it. Pick a skate that you think you will like and go for it.

That's what I'm here for.

I learned almost everything I know about wakeskating here over the last 3 years, and it's really nice to be able to return the favor and help out where I can Birthday

It's true, I'm not just a bunch of communist jokes and Bill Paxton references Laughing
