Ok im stuck now. I just saw these on ebay and im in a pickle. I know one of the devotid team riders, Oury, and he says devotid is a amazing company, and I know they are, but I also want a board that will last for a while like a omen wich has some composite in it. So should I get a 06 omen that has a cosmetic ding in it for 130 or a 07 devotid for 200? money is not a option, I can get either one, but not both.

In my opinion the Omen edges out the Devotid, I'm not affiliated with neither. I own both boards currently.

The Devotid is a great deck and built strongly, but it weighs a metic ton. Plus if you ride in salt water the hardware will rust like mine.

The Omen is sorta stuck to the water unless you sand down the rails.

Both board spin super fast, but the omen spins faster cause its only one level(duh) and lighter.

They both have completely different rides.

I still ride my casette over both of these tho cause I like the way it rides over anything so far....03 HORRELL FOREVER!!!

But its truly up to you to decide, I just give feedback when asked. In my opinion you really need to ride some boards, cause you might not like either one of them. Only that will tell you which one to get.

provin1327, I believe what he means is the boards are designed to ride deep in the water with the stock rail shape, some people prefer a board that rides higher in the water. Hence the re-shapeable rails, it allows you to custom taylor your board to ride exactly how you want it to.

Sorry, you should of stated that, disregard any info I posted about the Devotid Union.

The Omen has RESHAPABLE rails. It lets you customize your board to how you like it!!!

provin1327, It's really just personal preference... everybody likes a different type of ride. It's just like no one can tell you what board is best for you. It's just something you have to decide for yourself.

Traditionally wood boards tend to have rounder rails and ride deeper in the water and seem to have a little more control vs. a board with a very sharp rail. They also tend to hang up less on lip tricks.

But like I said above its really just about personal preference. Thats why we offer the re-shapeable rail.

wait wait, so boards with rounder edges have more control? doesn't the omen have the variable edge thingy, so you can do lip slides?
