Here's the first part of it: http://www.wakeskating.com/showarticle.php?a=518 .
I'm waiting to finish up on the rest because i'm trying to get some more info on distortion. (long story, but I blame it on dial up!) _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

What a great write-up. Good Job. FYI - Someone in the Hyperlite booth has some killer sandels...where can I get a pair of those...wow!!! _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

I know! I was looking at those sandals when I was looking through the pictures and I was like, Oh god, I know someone is going to make a comment about those...they look like bondage footwear or something.
But thanks for the compliment. I had a great time, but since I fail at life, it took me a while to get it all together. but it was a great experience, and I definitely plan on going back next year. I'll need more can coozies. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I agree on the comback thing with kampus, for sure. I wanted to comment on how it's nice to have them back, but the whole thing seemed long enough. I guess that they did have a small release of boards in late 06 (like that leif board), but they were extremely limited. We had done that write up on what Kampus was supposed to release for 06, but that was in May and I hadn't heard anything about them since. So it was good to hear that they did actually get some stuff out.
And I really tried to get some nice concave shots and things of that nature. There was a post started last year by Jaque mehoff about how he and others wanted to see more detailed shots of the boards and their contours. So anyway, I'm glad you're all enjoying it, and thank you for saying so. I was making all of those links last night and I lost power twice (I'm up north and we had some sloppy weather) and by the second time, i was ready to break something (no, I didn't save all of my work). but i learned my lesson after that. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Yeah, I'd say they are sharp. That kampus concave is not your standard wood design...the edges aren't round or anything like that, and I'm not sure if that's by design or if it's because of the new core lay up. I'd like to try that board out though. it looked interesting, to say the least. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

thanks for the write up Jtear from everybody that wasn't there but now feels like they were. I even got out a couple of coozies to hold while I read it just to really feel like I was there.
The whole LF promodel switchup seems weird if Basino is still on the team but got raped of his deck. Did he make a switch? |

No clue on the basino situation, labellethrasher. My only speculation would be that he doesn't have the same profile he once had...ultimately, i think kyle walton is just as deserving, if not more so. He doesn't hit up the comps like phillip once did (that kid used to be a pro tour dominator) but the few he did hit up, he placed respectably. and even more importantly is his progression away from the comps with his winching and whatever else.
But again, that's all personal speculation. "you don't need to rake me over the coals over it." haha...
And the coozie thing was probably pretty nerdy as far as an intro goes, but whatever. I had like four coozies in my hand at one time.
evan, give me two days, tops. I'm trying to scrape up a bit more info on a couple of companies, and I won't have time to make some follow up calls until thursday. From me to you, it's all about the heart to heart! ya herd? holla... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
