That fact was made known in his interview, and it's actually quite relevant...

greg, just so you know, at the time that patent was written, the word "wakeskating" was hardly used. It was pretty much strapless wakeboarding and bindingless wakeboarding. And obviously the language used in a patent is going to be a little different than how most people talk. As geeky as it may have sounded, the technology did allow for "technical board riding" and "increased fun", right?
Anyway, the point is the technology that patent covers. If you take your time and read some of the claims in that patent, the technology is very relevant and is widely used throughout the industry today. So it's pretty cool that someone could be that on when the industry and art iself were in its infancy and modern boards really didn't exist (outside of the prototypes and such). _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I thought you were being sarcastic about the language within the patent. I tell you, I get so sassy...you don't even want to tangle with me. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
