Each year during the first week of Decembre there is a big boat expo in Paris, France.
Now somewhere in that event, near a big pool you can find a lil place where riders and wakeboard and wakeskate companies are.
Yesterday, in that lil place, Kevin came out with his brand new pro model.
Here are the very first pics of his akonite bi-level :

Those graphics with the colors inverted would look cool too.

Wc, thanks man! =]
This must be so good to ride!
I just saw the 3rd photo that you put some presure on the tail.
This must help to absorb the impact //
Good job again

maybe its just me, but doesnt the bottom deck look really flat? Might be because of the camera lense or something though, i dunno.
Looks like a pretty cool deck though. Love the graphics!

I'm wondering about those kick-tails. I've been messing around with my own bi-level designs, and I just can't imagine that you get a whole lot of fulcrum out of those kicktails. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you think that the angles should be greater so you get that skateboard feel. It seems like this design mainly gives you higher concaves without the weight, but not the fulcrum you would want out of a bi-level...

Black is nasty , but for me it blends in with the water too much........but for you and your backside flip sequence I'd say it doesn't hurt you too much.

Raven : As you can see there s 4 screws and washers. between the 2 deck where the screws are there is a piece of plastic. That's all.
S34n : The bottom deck is not that flat see the next pictures
wakeshredder : well... I'm not sure kevin wanted to imitate the Cassette Bi-level. Or he would not have chosen a fiberglass top deck.
Anyway this new composite/wood bi-level deck leaded to new challenges that akonite and kevin liked to take up.
If the board looks like that right now, it wasn't like that few month ago. Kevin worked closely with the Akonite team, describing his feelings on the board, and Akonite did a awesome job to satisfy Kevin's feelings thanks to their technical/physics composite skills.
So please just believe that to him it's the best deck he rode since more than one year of research.
I let kevin answer to you about the fulcrum. He's the only one able to speak about the feeling he has riding this board.
But you must not forget that akonite uses fiberglass and it's quite responsive so you have a pretty good reactivity.
Now just a few pics to see that the bottom deck isn't flat, and a side view when we put some pressure on the deck

maybe they aren't being produced yet...
board looks sick. I say, stick with the blace, cause I hardly look down when I ride, and the black looks killer!
