Nike 6.0 Air Mogans are the best shoes I've ever wakeskated in. Super comfortable, good grip, and good weight.

The DVS don't last as long as the reefs; but they are softer amd more comfy.
I rode in some lo cut Hurley's(converse style) and they were awesome....so you don't really need an expensive wakeskate shoe or deck for that matter to enjoy this sport. Good luck son.

wow, crazy how much DVS comes out first in the poll!!

Well I also think they are the best shoes for wakeskating lol Just find a model that you feel really comfy inside and that doesnt pick up weight when put into the water. Any of their mesh model is good and I also like any other thin model they have out, like the Jason Dills, best skate shoe I ever tried... It's been over a year riding them often and honestly not a single sign of wear and they are made of some sort of fake (or not?) leather... sweet stuff BUT I did bust a couple pairs of Dresdens from DVS pretty fast, and I killed my Byerly's from Reef real fast too, but the Byerly's are the shoes the lightest shoes in the water that I rode with. That's the 1.0 version. After some time they started to fall aprat and actually hurt. Maybe the new ones are more durable, no idea.

oh and use your skate shoes only in the water, will make them last so much longer Wink

ps: 9.5 is a very common size, so hard to find... it's my size too and DVS's sample size is 9.5 aswell Afro

Get the Grey and white Adios, instead of the dominant white on grey. They will get dirty as crap, fast (unless your in really clean water) They do look dope though Wink

S!c, the Rowley XLIII's made by Vans are really nice in the water aswell. They are really light even wet, dry really fast, and come in many color ways.

I've worn both the Byerly I's and II's...they're super light in water and nearly indestructable...I wear them as my every day shoes as well as wakeskate shoes. Have had yet either of them fall apart on me.

S!c, the adios will last longer, every pair of dvs shoes ive used for wakeskating fall apart kinda quick, at least the ones that are mostly mesh.

the white quests do get dirty fast, thats what ive been using for the past 4 or 5 months and they arent very white anymore. but i also ride and winch in some really dirty/muddy water.

Jesse, thanks for the advice! I will take a look.. thx

ZoSo, hum, i guess that puts Reef back in the game! lol

Bad Luck, yeah I still haven't decided about the color. The white looks really great, but that will be a problem for me too. Where I ride is kinda muddy too. It will get orange by the second day =]
