they are just better at wakeboards then wakeskates. Their skates just dont match up to other companys whose main, or only thing are wakeskates (i.e omen, satallyte, integrity, and tons more) _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

provin1327, stop talking out of your ass.... The Byerly is such a good compostie. It has like the perfect weight. The perfect fins for wakeskating. Damn get off the fiznackling ROC being the best. _________________ www.jimizwakenskate.com

Preference. I think a lot of people are swayed by all the anti-Hyperlite talk. The skates are fine, some people like different skates... _________________ The aforementioned postings and musings are the opinions of myself in their entirety and are not the opinions of wakeskating.com |

| i think the ragg'n on hyperlite partly has somthing to do with thier hate for wakeboarders... and cause hyperlite is a pretty big wakeboard name... yup |

ridehatzic, yea i know. one of the best skate sections ive ever seen. hahaha did you notice they slipped a clip of byerly doing a varial in it?
but anyway, i have hyperlite wakeboards and a wakeskate. i think the wakeskates are a little bulky, but again its preference. i learned wakeskating from wakeboarding. but i agree with provin, they make much better wakeboards than skates (im NOT saying the skates are bad, they are just a little too big for learning tricks on i think) |

i learned a bunch of new tricks when i started riding the 06 byerly. hype skates are good, definitley among the best composites out. most of the people on this site that hate on hyperlite do so because its the "cool" thing to do, but the fact remains that hype makes a quality product. _________________ - Bret Little

honestly the only time i ever notice hype hate on this site is when a thread like this comes up. i think theres really not as much hype hate on here as people think, its just become a stereotype of this website.
CapriSunAllNatural, my personal dislike of hyperlite and my personal hatred of strappers have absolutely nothing to do with each other. |

Hyperlite is a great company. But when people see the mbiggest names in the wakeboarding and wakeskate business leave such a large company to start over again people get nervous. So when we look at their skates, Sure their great, But remember their composite, they last longer than wood skates. You can hit rails hundreds of times and not destroy anything. I mean look at half of the wakeskating photos back in 06. Everyone used the byerly. They all killed it on it. I think its that fact that hyperlite has lost goerge daniels and other great riders, that make the decision to buy so hard. Just try one of their boards. I guerentue one of your friends who rides has one. _________________ "Love the Life you live and Live the life you love" |

its all personal preferance. I dont like their skates, but a lot of people do.. It all just depends on what you want to shred on. Because i dont care how much you want to say. If anyone lands a sick trick on a hyperlite your not like "oh it was gay because is riding a hyperlite" _________________ -andrew- |

I like this. If I were Mr. Hand, I'd put that on the chalkboard for all my students to see. _________________ The above are opinions of NotSoBueno, based on NotSoBueno's life experiences and are not reflective of the opinions of wakeskating.com, posters on wakeskating.com, or readers of threads on wakeskating.com. |

A big reason is their PAST REPUTATION! Thats it. They got their shizzle right after they seen they where always breaking and now they have fixed the problem and are great skates. _________________

maybe also the fact that they really looked a lot like cut down wakeboard and had crazy sharp rails. That was a couple seasons ago, looks like they really improved on the design.
I think people tought HL wasn't trying hard enough to make the best kind of skate they can.
But as most said they are not really bad skates now, it is just personnal pref. Oh and if Grubb, BT, Byerly and others are ripping it on HL skates doesnt mean they are good skates, they could rip it up on a piece of plywood guys... Actually I was watching an oooold video a few weeks ago, a HL team vid that had grubb in it riding the yellow banana board. And humm well back then he did pretty much all the tricks he does now on it, shows that a good rider will rip what ever deck... also shows that grubb hasn't progressed a whole lot in the past humm 5-6 years? _________________

| i have ridden em abunch cause my wakeboarding friend has one and when i dont have a board i use his, i can land stuff on it and even kickflip it easier but i never once felt like it was a good board, i always said it was a cut down wakeboard and even the 06 thge best one yet felt that way. im sure if i road one all the time i could get good on it but why would i do that whan i can jump on an integ, oak, and sattylte and ride way more comfortable right off the bat? |

i agree with provin1327 there are just better wakeskates out there on the market, i find that they are to similar to there wakeboards and i feel that they should get away the wakeboard design for there skates. _________________ ~ www.integrity-wake.com ~ www.iwinchglobal.com ~ |

| i got the new hyperlite catalyst, ive ridden the byerlys, althought ive never ridden an integrity, omen, etc. the only thing dont like about the catalyst is that i think its a little too big, i think i should have rather gotten the byerly, but i still love it. i noticed the hyp. hate too, i mean the integs n stuff seem sick, but $280 or w/e was a little much for me. i dont see why ppl hate so much either. im all for 'em |

yall cant say nothin bad about hyperlite or byerly boards till you can hit wake to wake like grubb do v flips like byerly or do crazy shizzle like gd all of them are some of the best riders in the world and they still are ridin the same boards. Its just cause some people dont like the founders ove the sport they have to rag on who they ride for. _________________ ONE LOVE
