wakeskating season is over for me.................so now I need to save money for next season and I can't decide if I'd like to get a snowboard for this season or save my money to buy/build a winch..............I'm leaning more for the winch.........since most likely I can use it more

I'd say go with what you'd use more. Snowboarding is probably my favorite thing to do after wakeskating (but i'm from Florida so it doesn't work out too well). If you don't have many winch spots and have easy access to a boat or pwc then the winch might not be worth it. But if there are a ton of winch spots and you're not able to use another means of towing, then go with the winch.

All in all it's about what you're going to have more fun with and get the most use out of.

SNOWBOARD MAN! We'll all mis wakeskating, but winter is somthing we just have to deal with as part of this sport! and snowboarding is the best possible way to deal with that!- an Xbox 360 works too...

If you'd ever experienced two feet of dry fresh (powder) at the top of a mountain on a sunny day, this question would be trivial.
