| I don't know if this has been discussed but what do you guys think is the minimum pool length to be able to pull one trick? Season is over for me but I just had a crazy idea to try and hit my pool in the backyard. I will be using a pully system out to the street and have a truck do the pulling. I will set up a short, slick "slide in" so I have the most area possible to hit the one trick. im guessin its about 30 feet. Think itll work? |

if your talking about trying to do a trick in the middle of the pool, you need like 70 to 80 feet at the minimum. seems excessive, but if youre gonna go to the effort to build a pool you may as well do it right and enjoy it. the toe jam pool (not even made to do tricks in) was 80 feet. at the compound's down south throw down the pool was 60 and way too short to actually ride away from tricks on, that was with a 16 foot incline rail 20 feet into it and a minimum slide off dock. the slide dock is definitely key, the one into my grandma's pond is 16 feet and perfect. rails and pools definitely need to be longer than you they seem like they need to be on land or on paper. _________________

I am not planning on a rail. I just want to work on some shuvs and get some more pop on my ollies. Think it is long enough for that? Slide in before pool, QUICK set up, pop, and land all in 30 feet? Ill probably try it no matter what. Ive skated behing a boat my whole life so this will be interesting..
p.s. The slower i get pulled the longer time i have in the pool to pull the trick. is 15mph too slow? |

boardertj, stop talking about 30 feet, you're gonna hate yourself if you build a 30 feet pool. i have flatrails longer than that. _________________

NaRC-P rider, I think he's talking about a swimming pool in his backyard that is actually 30 ft... Just asking if it's possible.
boardertj, From what it looks/sounds like, no, it's just not gonna work. If you have room, i would build a pool. Probably around 80-100 ft. if you ever consider it. _________________ - Evan Molina |

| 30ft. will never work. i think everyone has thought about winching a pool, but they just arent long enough. you'r highschool pool would hardly be long enough for just one trick. |

| bulid a pool into a slyder landing in the real pool, hopefully not eating cement if you ride away to far in the real pool. It just doesnt seem worth it, But who knows. At the least im sure you could give it a try and at worst eat some good shiat. |

This is another thought I had. I have a good 80 feet in front of the 30 foot pool but I will have to come up with a very unique pully system or put up the money for a winch. And since it is all hard concrete I will try to set up some padding since I am still not too confident on rails.
Will 30 feet be enough for the landing pool? |

yes, but just for the landing, and that's it. Drop the rope soon...
Have you seen in its travels? The land a gap in about 15 feet around rocks!!! _________________ CONCAVE co.
