ive had so many times where ive had to explain what wakeskating is to people, i was wonderin if anyone else feels like everyones retarted sometimes

lol yea, like at the start of school in some classes we did like "what do you do" and i said wakeskating, and everyone was like "you mean wakeboarding"

o man peopel at school ask me about it when im reading a alliance magazine or something. they ask me " so what is wakeskating" i say, its basically a smaller wakeboard without boots. "so what can you do" well im not very good but some people can do kickflips and stuff, "o taht sounds to easy, gay" usually all the skater kids say that they could probably 360 flip easy because its easy on a skateboard, by that point i just give up on explaining and hand them the magazine and walk off.

i was at tsr and this little old lady asked me "how is it different?" and i said "well you can do more skateboard-style tricks on them" and she was like "... well how do you stay on the board?" and i said "...gravity?"

She looked at me funny and her husband laughed. It was grand.

its gotten so old, people ask, what? whats wakeskating, i just say surfing.. or wakekboarding cuz unless its someone of importance i dont feel like explaining it.

well this is pretty random but i actually explained what wakeskating was today to 2 skater kids. not the really good ones, the poser ones that wear all the skater brand clothes and are all emo and stuff. needless to say they thought it would be easy and thinks its stupid because hasnt progressed as much as skateboarding. i offered him 100 dollars if he can throw a shuv first try and he said make it 1000. to bad hes such a flamer i dont want to spend a day with him.

i wont even mention wakeskating to some of the local pros around here for fear of getting punched in the face. i dont think many legit skaters are into the idea of wakeskating at all.

Yea i also hate when even if poeple know what it is but dont give it enough credit...

like if your on the boat with a bunch of ladies and you go out and land a kick flip and there just like ohh thats cool and then a strapper goes and a lands a sketchy ass back roll and every one is freakin out omg he did a flip!!!! ahhhhhh insane!!!

Yeah it's defintely hard to explain up here...most people still don't know what wakeboarding is. When I try to explain it I usually get the blank face and the dazed "uhuh".
