|
|
| Ive ridden the first hyperlite skates that are grip tape and i like them so much better than the foam tops ones. I really want a cassettee grip tape one but im unable to get one b/c of sponsorship reasons. Is there any way to remove the foam and put grip tape onto a board???

yes just cut it off or peal it off or whatever and then go buy some grip tape and put that on it.

Ages ago I saw a thing on a guy who peeled the foam off a 2003 catalyst, and gripped it. not sure how he peeled it off (heat gun I think?), then just bought some grip tape from a skate shop and slapped it on.

| yeah just heat it up and the glue melts enough for you to pull it off its really easy but then u have to cleane all the glue off or else the grip tape wont stick good

Michael Manzer, Make a deal with Live2board439, buy the foam grip off him when he peels his off?
Hyperlite does sell the foam replacement, but it costs like $60 (so I've heard).

your better off just to sell what you got and use that money and the 60 bucks for foam (if thats right) and then go and buy a new board.
