Please lemme introduce the french wakeskate company AKONITE.

Kevin CALVEZ aka the guy who hitted the Trocadero (the Eiffel Tower fountain) working on his bi-level pro model
Pierre Atruz the first pro rider of the company

actually i dont think so. if there are too many companies for the wakeskate market it will be extremely hard to make a decent profit. the consumers would be spread to all the different companies which means each company gets a small percentage of the market. And hype and LF already have about 50% of the market. and they have about 70% or more of first time buyers. (these numbers are just educated guesses). that means all these new companies are sharing a small chunk of the market. if this continues to happen these small companies are going to go under. the only way i see it is if these small companies merge so they gain market share.
I am all for ROC companies but there is such thing as too many. As long as they keep their products fresh and diverse they will hopefully survive. Im glad companies like sattylite(sp?) are stepping up by using a pbt base on there wood concaves. this gives them a difference between other wood concave companies. otherwise the only way to choose between an Oak and a Sattelyte would be based graphics.
i am very interested in seeing the wakeskate industry evolve

| wakemitch, There arn't many companies in europe, so i do think that it's an positive side to it. The fanatic wakeskaters will look arround for other boards beside the HL and LF. From my personel experience the whole wakescene in europe is growing so i think it's usefull we get our own companies.

pipo, yep... I never landed anything though, that stuff was HUGE... But I guess that just puts me in the good company of many of the wakeskaters at the FISE.
Raynald (Unleashed wakemag) promised they would have smaller obstacles for wakeskating next year, so let's hope for that! It's more fun to watch people throwing shuvs off of smaller rails than trying not to fall on huge ones, if you know what I mean...
