wakeskating coach

well im gonna be with my dad for the next few months and im going up to his lake house for wakeskating and after showing him what the sport was and videos about it, he was in complete amazement and awh. and for many years of his life he had been a water skiier , so i asked him if he'd help me out coaching me on my wakeskating since i have no freinds at his lake house who could help motavate and critique me , he agreed to help coach me in wakeskating becuase he belives i have true potential Very Happy

but i have no idea how im gonna get him to coach me in a sport he has
no expereince or knowledge in. so basicaly im asking how can i get my dad to become a coach in wakeskating? Anyyy tips or advice would really help out Smile

he can buy u a trampoline, some videos, and pull u a lot. thats the best coaching money can buy right there. use the trampoline everyday, dont take it too serious just play around on it with a skateboard deck or a wakeskate and tie a handle up somewhere, watch videos of all kinds of board sports to keep u motivated and don't get too serious about it. you don't need a coach. just a positive atmosphere and those things i just said will make u a good wakeskater in time.

buy some instructional dvds and watch them with him.. film yourself and look over what you're doing wrong..start a thread in the pull section see if anyone is around your area... have fun.

Have your dad watch the book and snap, and also have him ride. It is really hard to coach in a sport you dont know firsthand, no need to be pro but you gotta know the feeling.

video tape yourself riding i find you can always watch it after and tell what your doing wrong or not doing

there are courses your dad could take to become an instructor

but its a lot of money and there possibly might not be one in your area.
