I've read alot about the sizing of skaates, since im getting my first one soon, but im not totally sure right now. Also I couldn't find the nooie forum, so im posting here. I am thinking about getting a liquidforce faction 42 or a 44. I am 5'11 and 175 lbs. I ride a 144 hyperlite motive (wakeboard) right now. I measured out 44 inches and it seemed kinda right, but my legs felt a little bit far apart, I dont know. I'm not sure if I want to get the 42 and have it be too small in one season, what do you guys think? Oh yea I can get the 44 for 70 and the 42 for 80.

I mean there is a ton of skates out there you can get.

If you go with LF I would go with a control 42 or impulse 42. Both are the same skate just one has grip while the other is foam topped. The foam is so you don't get griptape burns, but IMO has less traction. Also it is a concave skate, where the Faction is a flat deck. Concave > flat

There also Devotid wakeskates. They have a 42 inch Movement with 5 stage rocker. They also have the 41 inch Union, which is a bi-level. Both are wood skates. It creates alot more pop than a standard deck. I would reccomend this deck to you.

There is Oak wakeskates. They have some really nice concave skates. I would reccomend the 41 Prodigal or 42 Gege. There concaves are also wider than others.

Now if you want to go composite check out Integrity. There decks will last forever unless you blow it up. But the feel of a composite skate is totally different than that of a normal wood skate. They have a 41 inch Nick Taylor skate and a 41 in team deck. Only difference I believe is teh NT model has durasurf on the bottom for sliding. They also make a 39 which may be on the smaller side for you, but alot of people on here your size like it.

Anymore questions feel free to ask. Also, welcome to the forums and don't take anything anyone says to serious! Very Happy

Well put it this way. If you start on a flat deck and progress, then you move onto concave, you'll love the concave. If you get a concave deck, you'll love it right away and be able to progress a lot more.
